Once again, we have a dreary day with no snow. The weatherman isn't using the old phrase "pineapple express", but what else can this pattern be called. Pouring rain and temperatures in the mid fifties have been the daytime norms since winter arrived. The ground is so saturated that huge trees are toppling with no wind to help them along. My friend, Tess, was enjoying her morning, when she heard the sound of a freight train in distress and felt the earth quake under her feet. Instead of a rail disaster or a seismic event, she found a huge tree lounging on her house. If the roof hadn't held it, the tree might have left a vacancy on my dearest friends' list. Thankfully, she is only shaken up a bit. And, now I am eyeballing the dozens of trees that could be a threat to my own home. Mother Nature, just a little winter or a dry spell would be nice.
Our first trip today is by road, not rail. Stuff To Scrap is driving us into town for the "Winter Formal". I"ve got my dancing shoes on, and some pages to show off.
To get all gussied up (my gram's term), start your road trip here...
Next, we are jumping back aboard the train. Not just any train though. Sweet Creations is hosting a "Rock Around The Clock" party train! Check out the party favors.
For these goodies and more, step up to platform...
Have a great night, and I'll be back tomorrow.
